Why do I see tiny dots in the air?

Q: I can see tiny dots in the air 24/7. They will never go away and in my case it gets to a point where I will go completely blind for a half hour or so and then my vision will come back.
It happens every few years. When it does happen, the dots I see come together and my vision just "gives out", if you can say that.
I have taken an MRI and other test but the doctors say that there is nothing in my head causing it.
Thank you for your help.
Eva's Response: My immediate "gut" feeling is that it might be migraine - you don't always experience headache when you get migraines. Migraine auras are really distracting and can take over your vision for a short period of time.
It could also be low blood pressure - do you see the dots when you stand up too quickly? Just try getting up a bit more slowly over this next week and see if it makes any difference.
Otherwise go back to your doctor and ask if you could be experiencing migraine.
Good luck!
