White aura or after-image?

Q: Well, I don't know if this is just from staring at someone for a long time and it is some sort of eye illusion, like those illusion cards you can look at but sometimes if I stare at people for a long time, without trying, I see a white outline or light around them, maybe a few inches out from their skin but it is very flat.

It's not as if it is coming out from in front of them and behind.. it is just their outline.. sometimes when they move I continue to see their outline where they were standing...I have never seen color but I have never tried to see auras before.

I always assumed this was just a trick of the eye and it may be but ever since I saw my psychic and he told me I am very intuitive, I have been wondering about this.

I am going to practice more and see if I can see colors ..I was just wondering if you had any insight into this.. thank you :)

Eva's Response You're either seeing auras or after-images. A quick way to tell the difference is this: next time you see the outline, close your eyes. Do you still see it? If so, it's an after-image, which is caused by staring at an object for too long, which causes the shape of the object to get burned onto your retina... temporarily of course!
