Visited by a Ghost with an Aura

Q: I had an "experience" about 17 years ago which I am now trying to investigate a little further, and your thoughts would be welcomed and appreciated.
I was lying awake in bed that night just thinking about all of my family members who have passed away. I was saying in my mind all the things that I wished I would have said to them when they were alive.
After some time I began hearing a noise that seemed to be coming from the far corner of my room. I would describe the noise to someone gently lifting up a wooden desk drawer and letting it slighty drop in its groove while closed.
I sat in the bed for a few minutes just waiting to see if the noise was going to stop. It didn't. I got up out of the bed and just stood in the middle of the room in an attempt to get a better idea about where it was coming from. It was definitely coming from my bookcase in the corner of my room.
I walked over to the my desk that was right next to my bookcase, and I turned on my desk lamp. My body instantly froze.
In my peripherial vision I saw a distinctive outline of a person slightly leaning back against my bookcase. It was completely transparent except for this outline which I started focusing on more closely while my hand being still stuck on the lamp switch.
The outline was about 1-2 inches thick and had a smoke like nature to it. It was multi-colored bands of gold, dull pink, and dull blue, and it slowly twisted around in this outline much like confined smoke.
It slowly stood up and moved toward me. That's when I finally let go of the lamp switch and backed away. It kept walking toward me. Finally, it seemed to duck it's head a bit and walk right through me. It felt very cold and numbing. As it moved through me I could feel every one of it's body parts moving independently through me. I just inhaled deeply like someone threw cold water on me, and I ran out of the room to wake my friend up who was sleeping on my sofa.
I was sitting down with my friend trying to explain what just happened when I suddenly felt the feeling that someone was watching me. Every hair on my body stood up, and I looked in the hallway and saw another figure. The only way I can describe it is a shadow within a shadow. As soon as I made eye contact with it, it flashed it's eyes at me and disappeared.
It felt like a rush of wind or energy literally flew through the house, and then it was gone. My friend didn't see the figure as he had his back to the hallway, but he did confirm feeling the rush pass through the house.
The house was colder and my room was so cold I could see my breath. It was October and it doesn't get below 60 degrees outside during that time of the year here. I didn't stay in my house for over 2 weeks and after that only with someone else being present.
It was a very scary and a personally traumatic experience for me. It is the kind of thing you know happened, but try to pretend didn't. Have others seen things like this?
Eva's Response: What an amazing experience. I really have no answers for you, except to say I am SURE that a TON of people have had similar experiences to you, but are too scared to talk about them, either due to fear of the memory, or fear of ridicule.
I would encourage anyone who is reading this page to contribute their story in the comments section below...
