Spectrophotometry in Aura Photography
Spectrophotometry is one type of technology which is used to produce an aura picture.
These machines operate in the following way: You sit in front of the camera and place your hand on a black box which measures your body's electromagnetic field. A spectrophotometer is a device that measures light intensity and determines it's wavelength. The wavelength corresponds with a color frequency. For example a low wavelength will produce a low frequency color (eg. red) while a high wavelength will produce a high frequency (eg. violet) The wavelength measurement is put through a computer program which transfers the reading to the camera and puts the image on the film. In this way, an aura picture is produced. It is a very mechanical way of producing an aura image. This method does not indicate depth or pattern of a color and also does not use any intuition in the process. The result is a shallow and short-term reading as the machine cannot analyze the deeper layers of the aura like human intuition can.
