Sandalwood Essential Oil

Sandalwood essential oil has a woody and spicy aroma with a sweet edge.

I associate this smell with vacation because it was used at a resort I stayed at in Fiji a few years ago.

It has been widely used throughout the ages by the Hindu and Buddhist faiths during religious ceremonies to bring enlightenment, wisdom and prosperity to the faithful.

This essential oil is also an aphrodisiac, and it's intoxicatingly gorgeous scent is good for relaxing and releasing anxiety.

It has also been used in Chinese medicine for skin irritations, though it must be diluted as the oil is quite heavy.

To use, add a couple of drops of oil to some fresh water in a diffuser. This will scent the air. You can also add a couple of drops to a carrier oil and then add the oils to your shower gel.
