My own aura blocks other peoples auras

Q: So I have started seeing auras a lot. And when I focus on other people, I can usually guess their color(s) pretty well. However it just isn't as vivid as my own.
I have a very very vivid, bright purple/violet colored aura. It used to be very blue, which sometimes I do see waves of it in my aura, but on September's full moon, I (and my friend) watched my aura color change to the color I have now, which includes a predominant purple/violet, neon green, and blue (sometimes).
Sometimes, I see my aura color surrounding other objects, especially in my room. It's almost like my aura is a wave crashing into things, which I can see happen. However it becomes a problem when I try to see OTHER people's auras. If I try long enough, I can get a slight view of their own, but I usually just see violet. It doesn't surround them though, it just seems to shine on their body, every small moment, in different places.
This happens with my tarot cards as well, they glow a bright purple, sometimes deep purple, and sometimes they even 'explode' flashes of purple.
My question I guess is: Can my aura be so bright, that I can't see other's aura's?
Eva's response: It's because you're focusing on yourself so much. When you are reading for someone, remember that you are providing a service, and it's about them, not you. Protect your own energy and this will stop it contaminating your readings of others.
