I'm seeing auras and after-images
by Noor
(Minnesota)
Q: Ok it started when I was 4th or 5th grade. Sometimes when my teacher is up teaching, I focus on her but it's just seems that I'm focusing into the nothing then this faint yellow white light surrounds her whole body.
Then I look away and there are light shapes like her where ever I look. For example, if I looked at the board behind her and I look at it it's like this light is over there.
I just dealt with it until today. It happens a lot so I was wondering could this mean I can see auras? What if I was why can't I see colors?
All I see is this yellowish white light that surrounds there whole body. Or could this happen if I was exhausted? I usually am not tired or anything but I don't know it just happens. Thanks
Eva's Response: Hi Noor, it does sound to me like you're in the beginning stages of seeing auras, but you're also seeing after-images which is an indication that you've been staring at something for too long.
That yellowish light that you explain surrounding your teacher, that is her aura.
But when you say that you look away and see shapes that look like your teacher against the walls etc, that it an indication that you've been staring too long and the image has been burned onto your retina (temporarily). It's basically a sign that you need to give your eyes a break.
So - when you begin to see that yellowish outline, look down at your page or look somewhere else for a second, then return to looking at your teacher. I think you'll find that one you're not tiring your eyes so much, you will be seeing colors soon.
This sounds silly, but remember to blink. It's very important for eye health.
