I'm getting migraine auras

Q: Hi, please help!! I have been getting this for over 30 years now so do my father and sisters and brother. So it does seem to run in the family. I know I am getting something because all of a sudden it starts to look like if I am looking at the clock it doesn't look right, it looks like half-vision of everything and so bright in my vision, like someone is shining a flashlight in my eyes, then I see a color wheel of colors, lightning bolts that last about 30 minutes. I don't always get the headache though, and it's really scarey. I heard low vitamin D could cause you to have auras - is this true?
I am 53. I used to get auras once per year but while I am going through menopause it triggers them to, is there anything i can do maybe to not get these auras? I am scared to even drive far or be by my self, I just figured I have been getting these for 30 years so if it was something other then an aura I would be dead by now!!
When i start to tell doctors they cut me off, and just say "oh its just a headache", I could have a brain tumor and they wouldn't take the time to check it out!!
I get scared every time I get one out of fear it will stay like that it looks as though I cant look at any thing cant see out of the sides of my vision either cant focus on anything then you will see just the brightest lights, it's awful and scared then it seems to be dark and can even see a weird - almost like ferris wheel of colors- I noticed to if i look out of a screen or heater vent anything with like lines seems to trigger them to, or looking down at like the tile on my bathroom floor and staring at the grout on the tiles or even sometimes reading small print will trigger them please help if you can!!! Eva's Response: Hi Karen, my apologies for the delay in replying. Firstly, let me get this out there: Migraine auras are NOT my area of expertise, but given that I've worked in the psychic/aura realm for a number of years I do get asked questions about this type of thing fairly regularly.
I believe your issue has 3 main elements. Number one, you are experiencing
migraines. Number two, these headaches can be made worse by
menopause (I personally know people who experienced the most horrible migraines during menopause) and number three, you are experiencing
anxiety. So here's what I want you to do. Go see your doctor, tell them you are experiencing migraines, menopause and anxiety, and what medication they recommend for all 3. If your doctor won't listen to you, find a doctor who will. This is an issue that needs medical intervention. Nobody should need to go through this pain.
