I hear an annoying grinding noise when I meditate

Q: Are there any meditations I could do to help me see auras?
When I used to attend group meditations, I could see blues, reds, and green. But for some reason they don't show all the time.
Also when I meditate I get a strange sound go through my head, like an arc welding, or really strong grinding sound that brings me out of my peaceful state. Do you know what it might be? It's really annoying.
Eva's Response: Yes, I do know what that noise is! It's a reaction from your nervous system. As your body and mind slows down, and your vibration increases, sometimes your body doesn't know what to do. Think of it as like the sonic boom that comes when a jet breaks the sound barrier. You're going from one level of vibration to the next.
My advice is, when you hear this noise, is to take it as a positive sign that your meditation is working, and you just need to relax into it and pass through the noise, if that makes sense. Don't fight it, just float through it.
This noise often plagues people who suffer from anxiety, panic or depression as they try to go to sleep. They might hear it as a gunshot noise or even a voice. Again, it's a good sign - sleep is near.
