Frankincense Essential Oil

Frankincense essential oil smells just like tree resin, which is where it comes from.

Though not the most pleasant-smelling oil, it actually produces a warm and relaxing aroma when used in small amounts.

This oil has been used throughout the ages in religious ceremonies, often teamed with myrrh, to offer spiritual protection.

It is used at times in traditional Chinese medicine to promote healthy skin and digestive systems. It must be very pure to ingest, and should only be done so under the guidance of a health care practitioner.

As an anti-inflammatory, it is widely used as an active ingredient and perfume in cosmetics.

Add a few drops to a distiller and inhale the steam vapors for relief of inflammation to the lungs such as asthma and bronchitis.
