Do Rooms Have Auras?

Q: My best friend tells me that he "sees colors". I've pretty much ruled out the possible health problems that could be.
We've both assumed that he's seeing auras, but he rarely sees them on people, mostly places. He says when he is in a particular place, like an old jail on one occasion, he will see a color and/or see it in his head and it is accompanied by a general feeling of good bad or indifferent.
We both know little about auras and he particularly wants to know how to improve his ability. Could you help clarify what exactly this is, what the colors mean, and how he can get better at it?
Thank you so much for your time!
Eva's Response: This site covers a lot of in-depth information about auras, so click around and read what you can.
From what you're describing, your best friend is picking up energy from a room, rather than seeing auras. Aura is specific energy that comes out of a thing - whether it be animal, vegetable or mineral.
While auras are made up of the same stuff as the atmosphere of a room, atmosphere is made up of residual energy and kind-of just hangs in the air.
Best way to improve? Try seeing the energy around an object - this exercise on how to
see your aura is a good one.
