Q: Hello, recently my 11 year old daughter came to me & said she had something to tell me but was scared I would not believe her.
She said, "mom, I see angels." I asked her how did she know, she explained that for the past 2-3 years she sees bubbles floating in the sky near her with angels inside. But the angels are not human, they are sketches of different images, sometimes colorful.
She sees them only in the daytime when we're in the car or when she's out playing outside or @school playground. If we're in the car she says she can see them racing w/ us outside. She says she never feels afraid but knows that they are there.
These images come & go , but it only happens in the daytime. They never speak to her, they just float in the air & then after a while go away. I asked her next time she sees them to ask what it wants or who it is.
I do not know what to think. I'm asking for you to please help me with any information you can provide. Thank you.
Eva's response: It sounds to me like you did the right thing - you let your daughter speak, and you made sure she knew that you believed her. Encourage her to keep that open communication with you, especially as she enters her teen years.
I don't think her ability to see angels is anything to worry about. It may go away, or it may become stronger and she might find that her life purpose has something to do with this in some way. But 11 is way too young to be concerned with her life purpose. She needs to be a kid.
Don't place too much emphasis on the angels. Believe her, allow her to speak about it, but don't push her.
