But do you know how it works?

I must admit, I'm not an expert on the zodiac - auras are my thing. But there is something about astrology that I find intriguing.

So, I began to do some research and became even more intrigued by what I found.

The history of your horoscope is rooted in science. Throughout the ages, human have been watching the sky and taking note of events on earth. Astrologers use the same maps and charts as astronomers and navigators.

Astrology tells you what is likely to happen and when. It is like a warning system, and when you are armed with this information, it gives you power to make decisions and take actions that are in your best interest.

Zodiac Signs

Below is a list of the zodiac astrology signs. Your star sign depends on your date of birth:

Aries: 21 March to 20 April - The Ram. Adventurous, courageous, witty, hot-tempered, impulsive, impatient.

Taurus: 21 April to May 21 - The Bull. Reliable, faithful, patient, possessive, stubborn, materialistic.

Gemini: 22 May to June 21 - The Twins. Charismatic, fun-loving, intelligent, superficial, two-faced, sly.

Cancer: 22 July to 22 August - The Crab. Loving, intuitive, protective, emotional, moody, clingy.

Leo: 23 July to 23 August - The Lion. Open-minded, loyal, generous, bossy, self-important, condescending.

Virgo: 24 August to 23 September - The Virgin. Reliable, practical, thinker, worry-wart, perfectionist, critical.

Libra: 24 September to 23 October - The Scales. Tactful, idealistic, calm, gullible, indecisive, flirtatious.

Scorpio: 24 October to 22 November - The Scorpion. Determined, passionate, energetic, resentful, obsessive, secretive.

Sagittarius: 23 November to 23 December - The Archer. Optimistic, honest, good-natured, irresponsible, tactless, ungrateful.

Capricorn: 24 December to 20 January - The Goat. Sensible, focused, entertaining, pessimistic, stingy, pushy.

Aquarius: 21 January to 19 February - The Vessel. Friendly, independent, creative, shallow, lacks empathy, unpredictable.

Pisces: 20 February to 20 March - The Fishies. Compassionate, noble, kind, dreamer, follower, escapist.

Chinese Horoscope

There are also twelve signs in the Chinese horoscope, however it is based on your year of birth instead of your month of birth.

Year of the Rat: 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008You are hard working, attractive and successful.

Year of the Ox: 1913, 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997You are patient, supportive and strong.

Year of the Tiger: 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998You are sensitive, thoughtful and you stand up for your beliefs.

Year of the Rabbit: 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999You are trustworthy, talented and good at making choices.

Year of the Dragon: 1916, 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000 You are a born leader, brave and dedicated.

It is customary to wear red on Chinese New Year when it will be the year of your sign, eg. when you are turning 12, 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84, 96, 108 and 120. Don't laugh - I believe many of us will live to be 120!!
