Aromatherapy Recipes

Use these aromatherapy recipes to cleanse the aura of unwanted negative energy and promote a healthy mind, body and spirit.

Below are some staple aromatherapy recipes that I use.

Aromatherapy is a great way to cleanse the aura of unwanted negative energy and promote a healthy mind, body and spirit.

Click on each type of oil for extra information.

Headache relief blend:
3 drops of lavender essential oil
2 drops of sweet basil essential oil

Add the oils to a diffuser of fresh water and feel your headache melt away as the aroma fills the air.

Menstrual cramp relief:
5 drops of lavender essential oil
1/4 cup carrier oil (I use normal kitchen olive oil)

Add the lavender oil to the olive oil and mix gently. Put some of the oil into the palm of your hand and close it for about 30 seconds to heat the oil to body temperature. Massage the mixture into your lower abdomen where you can feel the pain.

Relaxation blend:
2 drops of lavender essential oil
2 drops of bergamot essential oil
1 drop of sandalwood essential oil

Add the oils to a diffuser of fresh water and before you know it you will forget all of your worries (what worries?)

Uplifting blend:
2 drops of jasmine essential oil
2 drops of lemon essential oil
1 drop of rosemary essential oil

This recipe can be mixed in two ways. Either add the oils to a diffuser of fresh water to uplift the atmosphere, or add to a carrier oil to apply to your pulse points.

I added the essential oils to a bottle of sorbolene cream next to my computer at work and rub into my hands when I need a mid-afternoon pick-me-up.

Anti-bacterial spray:
5 drops of tea tree essential oil
1 liter water

Put the fresh water into a spray bottle. Add the tea tree oil. Use on counter tops, kitchen trash cans, door handles or any surface that gets germy.

Floor wash:
3 drops pine essential oil
1 bucket hot water

Add the pine oil to the bucket of hot water and use a mop to freshen and disinfect hard surfaces.
