Am I seeing auras?
Q: Here's some background information about me:
I'm currently 22 but I have really bad eye vision and also astigmatism. The reason why I mentioned my bad eyesight is because I've always thought that explained everything strange I see.
But since around elementary school, sometimes I saw things that I never really understood. I tend to daydream a lot, so I never really focus on things around me, but then I always notice that there's like some sort of outline around things or people, never directly around them but perhaps a feet or so around them.
I don't really see colors so that's why I always figured it was just my eyes being tired. I don't really know how to explain what it is I'm seeing, but its like if I look at something, I can see the person/object but it looks unreal. To me, it feels like there's more between me and the object than when I'm looking at it normally.
I can see this with my glasses on, but with them off, it gets about 100x worse since it's much more blurred. It does remind me of light though, not shining or anything but the way that its not any color but its there. So am I seeing auras?
Eva's Response:
To me, there's one of two things going on. When you're "daydreaming", your brain is going into an alpha mode, which is the pattern of waves your brain makes when you are relaxed. This tunes you into high vibration energy, the same energy that people tap into when they meditate, and that would allow you to see auras.
The less exciting, but also quite possible option is an after-image. I say that because you mention that your eyes feel tired when you see the auras.
To check, close your eyes when you see the aura. If you see the image of the aura on the back of your eyelids, it's an after-image. If not, it's quite possibly an aura.
Best of luck!
