Am I really seeing an aura?
by Raven
(Clarksville)
Q: About 3 months ago I started to try to see auras. About 5 minutes ago I finally saw a glimpse of something. All around objects that I stare at for about 30 seconds or so I see a light field around it... No colors just light... and if I move my eyes to something else, that object's light is still in my eyes... so what am I seeing?
Eva's response: I'm sorry, it's an after-image. This happens when you stare at an object for too long and that object's image gets burnt onto your retina, temporarily. I know it's an after-image because you say that you still see the shape of the object, even when you move your eyes.
To see auras properly, do not stare or unfocus your eyes. Just gently gaze. Take your time and be patient. The aura comes out gradually and increases in intensity until you see full color. Then you pay attention to your thoughts and feelings to read what the energy means.
If you want to know more about strengthening your ability, read my book on learning to see, read and heal auras.
