3 year old talks about colors and see ghosts

Q: My daughter tells me she can see colours. She is only just turned three but she seems to see lots of things. She has spoken about people she can see in a room very convincingly and although we have been worried we have tried not to react.

She was once frightened by a man she said was staring at her in an old restaurant and was very unsettled, this is very unusual for her.

Now she tells me she can see colours! We don't question her much but when I was angry the other day she said I was very dark, she has also told me I have been 'red' again when I was annoyed. I asked her what colour I usually am and she said gold and that daddy was usually blue.

She now tells me what colour people are often, usually blue, pink or green, white or grey but these colours are not gender based and I know nothing about the issue having never really looked into auras.

Is it just a lively imagination? 3 year olds do say all kinds but this has definitely come from her and she is very sure about it and does pick up on moods with it too. What do these colours mean?

Eva's Response: She is probably seeing the moods of people in color. In other words, she is seeing auras. Perhaps encourage her to draw or paint what she sees. This will help to give you some insight.

When she sees ghosts that scare her, you need to reassure her that they may look scary, but they cannot hurt her.
